I don’t indulge in smoothies very often but this recipe caught my eye! The combination of so many of my favorite flavors meant I had to give it a try. Dates, banana and maple syrup combine to make it extra sweet and the oats make the smoothie especially rich and creamy. It has become a favorite indulgence!
The smoothie is calorie rich, so I only let myself enjoy it on days when I know I am going to exercise really hard. It is completely vegan but you won’t miss the dairy at all. It a great substitute for ice cream if you are vegan or need to avoid dairy. You can enjoy all the decadence of ice cream without the cholesterol and fewer calories.
This is my kind of recipe, with only one step required to make it. Just blend everything together and you have a quick bit of deliciousness!
