I’m not sure where I found this recipe, but I had copied it onto a note card awhile ago and I was eager to finally try it. This recipe is just a little tweak on the classic chocolate chip cookie, including maple syrup as one of the sugars. I was delighted in how they turned out! This simple little addition makes for a delicious cookie.
I have been using the Whole Foods 365 brand Dark Chocolate Baking Chunks with 67% cocoa for baking. I love them in cookies! The chunks of chocolate turn into luscious little pools of chocolate that are so satisfying to bite into. This cookie doesn’t have an overt maple flavor but I think you could add some maple flavoring if you would like. Be sure and bake them until they are a lovely, tempting golden brown. Anemic cookies won’t be as tasty.
