This cold cereal is especially refreshing on these warm summer mornings that always turn into hot days. I think that blueberries and maple syrup are a heavenly combination so I included them in my version of this cereal. I have given measurements that fill my 8 ounce jar perfectly and make the right amount of cereal for my breakfast. I used rolled oats which makes the cereal more healthy, providing more fiber than instant oats. The rolled oats keep a nice chewy texture as they soak in the milk.
Easy Overnight Oatmeal
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons maple syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 cup blueberries
Instructions
- In an 8 ounce jar, stir together the milk, oats, maple syrup and cinnamon. Stir in the blueberries. Place in the fridge, and enjoy the next morning.
